Setting: A room for two singers at the time. A short period (approximately 5 minutes for each step). A recording device. This game promotes quick learning and is an experiment about what you actually learn in just 5 minutes, and what is stable and what is varied in a chain. What is the singer’s imprint?
Step 1: Singer 1 sings a song that only he/she “knows” some rounds together with Singer 2. Step 2: Singer 1 says goodbye to Singer 2 and then records her/his singing (without anybody hearing).
Step 3: Singer 2 then finds a Singer 3 to sing the song he/she just learnt together with. Then Singer 2 records in the same manner as in step 2.
And then this chain can continue for as many singers as there are.
After finishing – Listen to the singer’s different recordings and note what is stable and varied in a chain. What is the singer’s imprint?
